Once you’ve finished adding your selections to your shopping cart, 
you can click ‘shoes in your cart’ and then ‘CHECKOUT.’ a Vintage Sole uses Authorize.net to securely process your order. You can pay using VISA. MasterCard, Discover, or PayPal. Once your order is placed, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

Our standard shipping methods include FedEx Ground and USPS. All shipping & handling charges are on us for U.S. orders over $75 and for international orders over $100. If you would like expedited shipping, have special shipping needs, or would like to provide special shipping instructions, just let us know at [email protected]. We’re more than happy to accommodate your wishes.

Please note, FedEx does not deliver to P.O. Box addresses (their policy, not ours). If you have a P.O. Box address, we will ship to you via the United States Postal Service.



if the shoe fits – and if it doesn’t
Here are some suggestions for trying on your previously unworn vintage shoes.

Many vintage styles appreciate being ‘broken in.’ Keep in mind that these shoes have been waiting for 40–80 years just to meet you! Some leathers may be just a bit stiff. To help your vintage beauties regain their flexibility, just slip them on while you read or watch TV. The warmth and moisture from your feet starts the rejuvenation process. Alcohol-free leather conditioner or polish can also do wonders.

If your foot doesn’t fit, don’t force it. Just like dress sizes, some manufacturers’ sizes differ. If they are too small or too large, please return them in the condition you received them.

Carpeting is essential when trying on your shoes. Avoid surfaces that might be hard on your shoes — especially concrete, linoleum, and wood flooring. Carpeting will protect them from scuffing the sole.

Evening is often the best time for a true fit. Your feet expand as you go through the day. Trying your shoes on at the end of the day will ensure the best fit.

There’s nothing worse than a great pair of shoes that doesn't fit — or aren’t just the right color — or don’t go with an outfit as well as you had hoped. No problem! All returns are gladly accepted as long as they meet the following criteria.

  • The shoes and the box are returned in the same condition in which you received them. Keep in mind that we cannot send them back to a factory as they’ve been out of business for decades! Our collection is unique and truly irreplaceable. If you decide not to keep a pair, someone else will want them — in their mint, like-new condition.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a return on any shoes that are in a different condition than when they were shipped to you.
  • You return your order within 45-days of receipt. Contact [email protected] to begin the return process.


All refunds will go back onto the original form of payment.
